EXPLORING FAITH Would you like to explore the Christian Faith? Perhaps you have a friend who would like to be introduced to Christianity? Maybe you’d like to explore your own faith further. Peter is planning a series of meetings in the New Year, based on a new Church of Scotland resource Learn: Exploring Faith, an engaging guide to the Christian faith for the 21st century. It’s suitable for anyone who would like to become an adult member of the church, but also for existing church members who like to explore. Please contact Peter: PNimmo<at>churchofscotland.org.
COMMUNION FOR HOUSEBOUND There will be a short Communion service on Saturday 30 January at 2.30pm at St Stephen’s. Transport can be arranged to allow those who often are unable to come to the regular Communion services to attend- and everyone else is welcome. Tea will be served after the service in the Church Hall. Contact Val Cantlay val.cantlay<at>btinternet.com or contact your elder.

MESSY CHURCH MEETING This Wednesday 13 January at 7.30pm for all those interested in taking part. The Messy Church has now been re-scheduled for Saturday, 20 February 11am-1pm. Messy Church is a free family outreach, offering worship, crafts and a meal together; it happens all around the UK, is a great way to share God’s love in a fun, relevant, engaging way, and is open to the community and families (Nursery to P7). We are looking for as many as possible to get involved; craft people, servers, cooks, home bakers, singers, actors, people to set up and clean up! Please consider how you can join in this important outreach to the parish. If you would like to be a part of this wonderful outreach please contact Heidi Hercus on tripleh75<at>hotmail.co.uk
FOOD FOR FAMILIES The chopping, stirring and packing has all been done and well over 200 portions of soup and pasta have been cooked by 15 members of the congregation. In total we were able to do 18 batches of food (3 did it twice) and this will make a real difference to families within our area. A big thank you to everyone who helped, it not an easy time of year to take on more work but it is very much appreciated. We give thanks for the success of the project which is co-ordinated by Highland Homelessness Trust. Christine MacKenzie.
