SUMMER SONGS OF PRAISE a joyful evening worship service at the Old High next Sunday 21 August at 7pm. A chance to sing favourite hymns, and to meet our new Old High organist, Robin Versteeg, who will also treat us to some organ fireworks! OLD HIGH AUGUST LUNCHTIME RECITAL Saturday 10th September at noon: Musick Fyne will be returning to give a choral recital including some fascinating Early Music. OLD HIGH CHURCH OPENING The Church will be open on weekdays from now until September on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 12 noon and 2-4pm. We can always use more volunteers, especially to cover times when the regulars can’t make it- please contact Christine Mackenzie if you can help christinemac73<at>hotmail.com. And please let your friends know that they can visit the church at these times.
ST STEPHEN’S CHURCH CHOIR starts rehearsals again this coming Thursday, 18 August at 7.30 pm during August and at 7.15 pm from September. New members always welcome. You don’t have to read music to join. More information from Katharina Nimmo katharina.nimmo<at>btinternet.com.

DOORS OPEN DAYS give you free access to buildings across Scotland. As part of the Inverness programme, both the Old High (OH) and St Stephen’s (SS) will open on Saturday 3 September from 10.30am to 4 pm. At OH Robin Versteeg will give an organ recital at 12 noon and at SS Ron Stevenson will give an organ recital at 11.30am. We need volunteers to keep both churches open on the day. ORDERS OF SERVICE Ron and Iris Lyon have folded the orders of service for the Old High and ensured that they are available at the service on the Sunday morning for a number of years. They wish to give this up at the end of August and we are most grateful for all their assistance. We now need volunteer(s) who can collect the printed orders of service on a Friday or Saturday, fold them, and ensure they are available for the morning service. THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION will be celebrated at the Old High on Sunday 28 August. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table. The Retiring Offering will be in aid of Highland Hospice. Please give generously to this worthwhile project.
