ALTERNATIVE APPROACH TO WORSHIP There has been discussion in the Worship & Education Group about the benefits at this time in the life of Old High St Stephen’s for us to plan occasional services which could be led by elders and members of the congregation. The aim would be to deepen our personal growth as Christians and find new opportunities for participation by leading worship together. We would welcome the chance to explore next steps towards that, through meeting with anyone from the congregation who would like to join this discussion, by sharing ideas, even if you may not want at this time to be directly involved in leading such a service. We shall meet in St Stephen’s vestry at 7pm on Sunday 12 February. Please do consider joining us then. More details from Andrew Stevenson. stevenson.ata<at>btinternet.com

A NOTE FROM THE MINISTER I’m glad to say that my health seems to be reasonably stable at the moment, but due to the drugs I am taking, I still do not have a lot of energy. I decided that I would undergo a second procedure, which hopefully will deal with the symptoms of my dodgy heart rhythms and return me to full health. This will take place in Aberdeen sometime in February or March. I’d like to thank you all for all your prayers and good wishes, and for your patience and continuing support – it is much appreciated. And I’d like to wish you all a blessed Christmas season – Peter
