SOUTHSIDE NURSING HOME There will be a short service, led by Deborah Macrae, at Southside Nursing Home immediately after this morning’s service at St Stephen’s. If you are able to assist with the singing, your assistance would be much appreciated. Please speak to Deborah after the service. WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A BEADLE? The Sunday Beadle helps out those leading on a Sunday with practical matters- you’ll have noticed him or her carrying the Bible in at the start. OHSS CHURCH SPRING WALK 22 April Blackmuir Wood, Strathpeffer. Meet St Stephen’s car park 1.15pm for car share or 1.45pm Blackmuir Wood car park. Directions below. Cuppa at Railway Cafe, Museum of Childhood 3.30pm. From Inverness follow the A9 north to the Tore roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A835 (for Ullapool and Dingwall). Stay on this road for 10 miles (16 km) turning right onto a minor road for Kinnahaird, and then right onto the A834 for Strathpeffer. Just as you enter the village there’s a large white building on the right and a tourist information sign on the left. Turn right after the building and follow signs to the car park. Using SatNav? ST STEPHEN’S CHOIR SPRING CONCERT: Come and enjoy the St Stephen’s Church and Community Choirs’ Spring Concert on Thursday 26 April 7.30 pm at the Culduthel Christian Centre. OLD HIGH CHURCH OPENING The Church will be open to visitors from 2-4pm each Friday afternoon from 23 March. The Summer Opening programme starts on Friday 1 June and will continue until Friday 28 September. Opening times : Tuesday to Friday inclusive 10am -12 noon and 2-4pm. OLD HIGH HALLS RENTALS Jim Monro has kindly looked after the Old High hall lets, but wishes to step down. If anyone can take this role on, please get in touch with Linda Philip or Christine Mackenzie.
GIFT AID AND FREEWILL OFFERING TREASURER VACANCY Sandy Cumming has decided to stand down as Gift Aid and Freewill Offering Treasurer after several years of service. A successor is needed for this important role which enables OHSS to recover some £18000 per annum from HMRC. As well as record keeping, the role involves preparation and submission of two claims per annum. If you are interested, or know someone who might be willing to serve OHSS in this capacity, then please contact Sandy Cumming.
PASTORAL CARE Peter, or the Rev Arthur Sinclair, our Pastoral Assistant, should be informed of anyone ill at home or in hospital.

CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE OLD HIGH CHURCH
Thanks to all who attended the meeting on 24 March with Allan Marshall, the Chartered Architect appointed by the Kirk Session to lead and prepare a conservation and development study on the Old High Church. We are still asking for your input on how the Old High Church might be developed, its role in the life of our congregation and the city, what facilities we might need to attempt to incorporate within it, and what its future might be.
