SYLLABUS
17 FEBRUARY: NESS
BANK CHURCH- AN ART EXHIBITION
Skye
based artist Ruth Goodheir has agreed to exhibit a series of nineteen
of her paintings as part of the Academy 2008 offerings. The
exhibition will take place in Ness Bank Church and will run from 14th
February to 24th February.
Ruth
has created this series of drawings which she later called 'The Light
Shines in the darkness" while living through a very difficult
period in her life. During a recuperation period while recovering
from spinal surgery, Ruth turned these drawings into oil paintings.
Ruth's imagery speaks powerfully of her Christian faith and her
paintings tell a story of hope in the midst of anguish . Hers is a
message that touches all who have experienced pain in their lives. It
is possible to preview these paintings on Ruth's website
