OH GIVING TREE is supporting Highland Gateway. As in the past the most welcome and useful gifts are warm scarves, gloves, socks, beanie hats and basic toiletries like soap, shower gel and shampoo. There are around 45 homeless (12 women and 33 men) and the cards are marked appropriately (spare cards in a box alongside). BOLIVIA FUND RAISING TRIP Catherine has returned from her trip working with disadvantaged children in a village near La Paz, with the charity UpClose Bolivia. CRISIS ACCOMMODATION FOOD Highland Gateway (formerly Highland Homelessness Trust) are providing crisis accommodation throughout the year for the most vulnerable in our society. HOPE UK APPEAL FOR VOLUNTEERS We are a national Christian charity, and aim to enable children and young people to make drug and alcohol-free choices. We desperately need more volunteers. Our training course is accredited with the Open College Network to ensure high standards and consists of distance learning and three (often residential) training weekends; the course takes approximately 120 hours to complete over a period of 6 months.
