BLUE FLASH CHALLENGE You are invited to a service at the Old High Church on Saturday 25 June at 11pm to mark the end of the ‘Blue Flash Challenge’, in which a group of veteran members of the 4th Royal Tank Regiment will have trekked from Roybridge to Inverness over a 24 hour period, a distance just short of 60 miles, to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity to support the children of service personnel killed in action. THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION will be celebrated at St Stephen’s on Sunday 26 June. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table. The Retiring Offering will be in aid of Highland Hospice Project Build Appeal. Please give generously to this vital local project.
SUMMER SONGS OF PRAISE a joyful evening worship service at the Old High on Sunday 21 August at 7pm. A chance to sing favourite hymns, and to meet our new Old High organist, Robin Versteeg, who will also treat us to some organ fireworks! ST ANDREWS CATHEDRAL Rev Sarah Murray will be licensed as the new Vice Provost for St Andrews Cathedral, Inverness at Choral Evensong on Sunday 19 June at 5.30pm. CROWN CHURCH are hosting Shallowford Presbyterian Church Youth Choir (60+ of them!) performing “We walk in the light” tonight at 6pm. They visit every four years or so, and it is always a rich experience of the sharing of faith through music and drama. HIGHLAND FOODBANK Blythswood Care – for June they are looking for small tins of ham, sweet biscuits and long life juice. They currently have opportunities to volunteer at two of their food banks. LET’S GET ON WITH IT TOGETHER (LGOWIT) 5-week Self Management course, starting on Saturday 18 June at Inverness Leisure Centre (2.00pm till 4.30pm each week). The course is free, open to anyone, young or old, living with a long term condition, and will be led by two volunteer trainers, both of whom have long term conditions themselves.
