OLD HIGH CHURCH OPENING The Church will be open on weekdays from now until September on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 12 noon and 2-4pm. We can always use more volunteers, especially to cover times when the regulars can’t make it- please contact Christine Mackenzie if you can help christinemac73<at> And please let your friends know that they can visit the church at these times.
BLUE FLASH CHALLENGE You are invited to a service at the Old High Church on Saturday 25 June at 11pm to mark the end of the ‘Blue Flash Challenge’, in which a group of veteran members of the 4th Royal Tank Regiment will have trekked from Roybridge to Inverness over a 24 hour period, a distance just short of 60 miles, to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity to support the children of service personnel killed in action. HOBBY/CRAFT EVENING Wednesday 22 June in St Stephen’s Church Hall 7.30-9pm and fortnightly thereafter. New Crafters welcome or if you wish to learn a craft please come along. Tea/coffee & biscuits in a very relaxed atmosphere. Contact Margaret McAleer.
THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION will be celebrated at St Stephen’s on Sunday 26 June. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table. The Retiring Offering will be in aid of Highland Hospice Project Build Appeal. Please give generously to this vital local project.
SUMMER SONGS OF PRAISE a joyful evening worship service at the Old High on Sunday 21 August at 7pm. A chance to sing favourite hymns, and to meet our new Old High organist, Robin Versteeg, who will also treat us to some organ fireworks! HIGHLAND FOODBANK Blythswood Care – for June they are looking for small tins of ham, sweet biscuits and long life juice. They currently have opportunities to volunteer at two of their food banks.
