Baptisms

Baptism (sometimes called ‘Christening’) is the way we become part of the Church. In the Church of Scotland, we baptise children.  If you would like to find our about having your child baptised, please contact the Minister.

Anyone can join our Church. We regularly hold a course called Christian Basics for adult learners who are not yet members of any Church. If you were baptised as a child you reaffirm your Baptism at a service of Confirmation. If you would like to join the Church, but haven’t been baptised as a child, we can baptise you as an adult. The Minister can help you with any of the these things.

Find out more about baptism on the Church of Scotland’s website. You can also read a sermon about baptism from our Minister here.
